John Kenny’s stunning fine art portraits document a series of tribal societies justly proud of their traditions and cultural heritage. He has photographed in regions that stretch from the southern valleys of Ethiopia and harsh desert of northern Kenya, across to the arid hinterlands of West Africa, and beyond to the southern desert regions of Namibia and Angola.
Faces emerge from the shadows illuminated by a soft and diffuse natural light.
John’s work has been exhibited worldwide through international art fairs, as well as being auctioned at Sotheby’s in New York. He has been featured in leading London newspapers, The Times and The Telegraph, as well as the international art and photography press.
John’s work is produced as lambda prints mounted between sheets of UV plexiglass to give them maximum protection and a dramatic three dimensional quality.
